Summit CityMD is looking for a strong, cross-category procurement professional to become a part of a developing function within a fast growth company. You will build and manage relationships with our internal clients and the vendors who support our exciting and varied requirements. You will need to show good knowledge of procurement principles, vendor management know how, strong inventory management skills, and an eye for detail. You will be part of the Procurement Team developing and implementing new policies, processes, and systems while also supporting multiple internal stakeholders, from a wide spectrum of departments with many and varied needs, in a fast paced demanding environment.
The Strategic Sourcing Associate is responsible for executing enterprise-wide procurement and cost optimization opportunities, capturing cost reduction on company expenditures for goods and services, and assisting Procurement leadership with the execution of procurement strategy.
The Strategic Sourcing Associate will support the planning and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives using a multi-step sourcing process for prioritized spend categories. This includes developing category specification requirements and scopes of work that is consistent with business requirements and Procurement strategy. This position will conduct spend analytics and utilize analytical expertise to deliver a comprehensive total cost of ownership assisting the business in delivering measurable cost savings. Additionally, this role will Initiate and structure RFI's and RFP's and participate in supplier negotiations.
The Strategic Sourcing Associate will support and execute negotiation strategies based on supplier proposals and spend analytics while managing supplier selection process and provide data and recommendations to ensure informed business awards. The Specialist will develop and administer contractual agreements in collaboration with business and legal departments while creating agreements to include all business requirements, statements of work and performance criteria. This position will identify continuous improvement initiatives and monitor supply markets and assess opportunities resulting from new technology and product offerings. Additionally, they will support the supplier quarterly business review process.
Physical Requirements
The job may require at times to lift light to moderate amounts of weight (e.g., boxes of medical/facility supplies). Job also requires ability to maintain a quick pace in fast paced environment to meet internal client needs and to ensure the patient care facilities have all supplies and services needed to care for patients.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, supply management or relevant area. Masters Degree and/or Recognized Procurement certification in CIPS, ISM or other professional purchasing organization a plus;
* 3 to 5 years of category management and procurement experience. Experience in the medical industry is a bonus, although not required;
* Excellent math and analytical skills;
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
* Demonstrated ability to work with suppliers and strong relationship management experience;
* Knowledge of contract fundamentals;
* Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
* Solid project management and project leadership capabilities;
* Strong interpersonal skills, team focus, and the ability to work in cross-functional teams;
* Advanced MS Office skills, especially Word and Excel;
* Strong attention to detail, a reputation for noticing the little things;
